Dear Rotarians , February was Rotary month. 23rd February was 120th Anniversary of Rotary. Our district celebrated this day in very unique way. We had great event of “Eye C Magic Car Rally” with 163 visually impaired as navigators. There were 170 cars in the rally. 300 plus Rotarians and Rotractors participated in 25 km drive from Phoenix Market city and back. This event was jointly organised by Special Events and DEI Avenues. This was great PI event.
Total TRF givings have crossed 1 million dollars mark already and APF giving touched 0.5 million dollars mark, continuing our number 1 position in South Africa. There was another landmark moment for RI 3131. World’s 9th and India’s 1st Rotary Peace Centre is getting established at Symbiosis University, Pune.
It is already March. Time flies so fast. Last 9 months have been very happening months. Many records were made, clubs conceived and executed unique projects. DG Visits are in full swing. In every club I visit, I come across enthusiastic Presidents and Rotarians with creative project ideas. District Conference is already over. It is now time to focus on Foundation and Membership. Those who still haven’t contributed to Foundation, time to do so. We also need to work on membership retention. These last 3 months are crucial. Our goal is sustainable growth and we will achieve it for sure.
Black Tie event is scheduled on 7th March. By the time GML is released this event would have already taken place. TRF Trustee Chair PRIP Mark Maloney and his partner are Chief Guests for the event and TRF Trustee PDG Dr.Bharat Pandya is Guest of Honour.Overall very satisfying ongoing and planned activities. Will reach out again in next GML.
