A pivotal event during the year is the District Conference. The orchestration of a Rotary Conference is a thrilling endeavour that unites Rotarians from diverse backgrounds. From mapping out logistics to synchronizing the program, every facet of this event is infused with enthusiasm and purpose.
DG Manjoo chose the theme 'Stars and Constellations' for the event, and accordingly, the Conference was named to align with this theme. The conference, symbolizing the grand gathering of Rotarians as stars, was aptly named "CONFLUENCE."
As event organizers, we have been striving to create an unforgettable experience for attendees. From securing a venue that can accommodate the conference's needs to curating engaging speakers and experiences, our goal has been to ensure that every moment is meaningful and impactful.
Our team was fortunate to have been guided by PDG Dr. Deepak Shikarpur, the conference Counsellor and District Trainer PDG Dr. Shailesh Palekar. DG Manjoo Phadke’s exhaustive checklists and attention to minute detailing was the backbone of our work frame. The District Event team has provided unwavering support for us.
The success of any event is measured by the number of attendees! The Conference Promotion team, led by Rtn. Ajay Wagh has used all the available means to ensure a good attendance.
Since the Rotary Conference provides a platform for networking, learning, and inspiring change, it is an opportunity for Rotarians to connect with like-minded individuals who share their passion for service above self. Through thought-provoking discussions and collaborative sessions, we are sure that attendees will leave the conference feeling motivated and equipped with new ideas to make a difference in their communities.
I consider myself fortunate to have had the opportunity to organize a Rotary Conference. This experience revolves around establishing an atmosphere where connections are built, ideas are exchanged, and enduring friendships are cultivated. The successful execution of this event wouldn't have been achievable without the dedicated support of every member of the Host Club, Rotary Club of Pune Deccan Gymkhana. Each member fulfilled their responsibilities to the best of their abilities.
