Pimpri, [27 Jan 2026] – In a significant stride towards fostering youth leadership and community service, the Rotary Club of Pimpri Elite recently installed a new Interact Club at Khivansara English Medium School. The ceremony marked the formal induction of 60 enthusiastic students into the global Interact family.
The installation event was attended by Rotarians, school authorities, parents, and the newly appointed Interact Board. The young Interactors pledged to undertake projects that would benefit their school and local community, embodying Rotary’s motto of "Service Above Self."
In his address, the President of Rotary Club of Pimpri Elite emphasized the dual importance of the Interact club. **"Interact is not just an extracurricular activity; it is the nurturing ground for future Rotarians and leaders. By engaging these 60 young minds today, we are planting the seeds for a stronger, more service-oriented tomorrow for Rotary itself,"** he stated.
Highlighting the Importance of Interact for Rotary's Growth:
The establishment of this Interact club underscores a critical strategy for Rotary's sustained growth and relevance:
  1. Pipeline for Future Membership: Interact clubs serve as Rotary’s primary feeder program. Engaging students aged 12-18 allows them to experience Rotary’s values firsthand, creating a natural pathway to Rotaract and, ultimately, Rotary membership. These students are Rotary's future leaders, donors, and project champions.
  2. Infusion of Fresh Energy and Ideas: Young Interactors bring innovative perspectives, digital fluency, and passionate energy to community service. Their projects often address contemporary issues, helping Rotary stay dynamic and connected to evolving societal needs.
  3. Expanding Rotary's Service Footprint: Each new Interact club amplifies Rotary's ability to serve. The 60 students at Khivansara School will now carry out multiple service projects, effectively extending the humanitarian reach of the Pimpri Elite club into new areas of the community.
  4. Building a Positive Legacy: Investing in youth is a long-term investment in community well-being. Interact clubs develop responsible, empathetic citizens, which aligns perfectly with Rotary’s mission of creating lasting positive change.
The Rotary Club of Pimpri Elite congratulated the new Interactors and expressed confidence that their journey would be marked by meaningful service and personal growth, ensuring a bright future for both the community and the Rotary family.
