The month of August saw vibrant vibes and festive flavour at the Rotary Club of Pune Baner. The festivities of the holy month of Shravan, hues of patriotism, Ganapati making and many more significant moments made the month remarkable.
A summary of happenings at a glance:.
August started off on a colourful note with a joint meeting with Rotary Club of Aundh, at Bal Kalyan Sanstha, as the club hosted a Mangalgauri khel by a renowned group of women performers who displayed a variety of interesting games, followed by traditional dinner for all on August 01.
A joint meeting with the RC Bavdhan Elite took place at the Virangula Kendra, Bavdhan, on August 08, in which noted speaker was numerologist, Prashantt Kulkarnni who conducted a session on 'The Science of numerology and its role in personal growth.The Independence Day witnessed flag hoisting ceremony and donations of kitchen appliances to BAL KALYAN SANTHA as a support to the specially abled children
Donation were made by Rtn Sapna Agarwal Rtn Prachi Ghule Rtn and Dr Jiignesh further a presentation on 'Operation Sindoor' by retired Air Marshall Subhash Bhojwani, on August 15, at the BKS premises in a joint meeting with the Rotary Club of Khadki. A session on 'Cosmetic Gyneacology', was presented by Dr. Sunita Pandit, for the women of the Club, in Gynaeworld hospital on August 22. The Club hosted a shadu Ganapati making workshop for the students of Rotaract and RYE, as a synergy partner with the Rotaract club of Pune Baner. The event took place at the Bharat Scouts and Guides Bhavan on August 23. On August 26, a blood donation camp was organized by the club which saw a record breaking collection of 235 units of blood by young donors at the Nicmar University, Balewadi. The camp was supported by a team of doctors from the Yashwant Rao Chavan Hospital, PCMC. On August 29, the Rotary Club of Pune Baner handed over a school painting project for the Appasaheb Bandal Vidyalaya, in Bhor Taluka. This was a CSR project in synergy with Rotary Club of Poona Midtown which was initiated under the leadership of IPP

The Club got an award at the District Membership Seminar for adding the highest number of Lady members from 01st July 2025 in the District.
As a welcome move, our members, Rtn. Rajashree Shete and Rtn. Neha Shah mobilised Rs. 5 lakhs as CSR grants from Corporate partners, to be used for our signature medical project of epilepsy surgeries. Also, PP, Dr. Jiignesh Karia mobilised Rs. 2.50 lakh for the same. Senior member, Rtn. Capt. Pradeep Nadkar mobilised Rs. 25000 towards medical projects.
