New Generations Service Exchange (NGSE) Milestone: Inaugural International Group Exchange by RID 3131 and RID 2452 Back

Project/Event Name: FIRST-EVER INTERNATIONAL NGSE GROUP EXCHANGE

Rotary International District (RID) 3131 marked a historic moment by orchestrating the inaugural international New Generations Service Exchange (NGSE) Group Exchange outside India. Collaborating with the Rotary Club of Dubai Downtown, RID 2452, United Arab Emirates (UAE), the NGSE Team executed this groundbreaking exchange from October 12 to October 19, 2023, followed by subsequent sessions in November 2023. This remarkable event set a precedent as the first NGSE Group Exchange within RID 3131 and RID 2452.

Eight young participants from RID 3131, India, sponsored by various Rotary Clubs, engaged in an internship titled "Fundamental Programme in Artificial Intelligence, Data, and Cloud." Conducted by the UAE branch of the USA-based company "The DataTech Labs," the internship was designed and led by Rtn. Dr. Amit Andre, CEO of DataTech Labs and advisor to the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence, UAE.

The NGSE Group Exchange included insightful hands-on sessions, a visit to the Future Museum, and participation in GITEX 2023. Rtn Dr. Amit Andre's sessions provided valuable insights into the latest trends in AI, Data, and Cloud technologies. Additionally, the participants explored popular tourist destinations in Dubai, adding a cultural dimension to their experience.

As part of the NGSE Group Exchange Programme, interns actively participated in community development projects of local Rotaract Clubs and were invited by the Rotary Club of Dubai Downtown for a flag exchange ceremony.

This pioneering venture was realized under the guidance of Past District Governor and District Trainer Rtn Dr. Shailesh Palekar, District Governor Rtn Manjoo Phadke, RID 3131, India, and with the support of President Rtn. Devananda Mahadeva, Rotary Club of Dubai Downtown, Dubai, RID 2452, UAE. The success of the venture was attributed to the concerted efforts of the NGSE Team members from RID 3131 and RID 2452, including Rtn. Dr. Shilpagauri Ganpule, Rtn. Dr. Amit Andre, Rtn. Ravindra Bhave, Rtn. Prasad Ganpule, Rtn. Anand Suryawanshi, Rtn. Irrfaan Aawate, Rtn. Mohan George Pulinthitta, Rtn. Sanjeev Krishnan, and others.
