The Interact Club of Sundarji stars conducted a heartwarming project titled "Developing Intergenerational Relationships". The event brought together grandparents, cousins, siblings, and extended families to interact meaningfully with our young learners. The primary aim was to bridge the generational gap and foster mutual respect, learning, and emotional bonding across age groups. Grandparents shared nostalgic stories from their childhood and school days, giving children a glimpse into a world without smartphones and gadgets. They fondly spoke about the joy of playing outdoor games, the value of friendships, and the simplicity of life in earlier times. Their heartfelt advice to spend less time on screens and more time in nature deeply resonated with the children. Adding to the experience, family members engaged children in traditional activities like embroidery, sketching, fabric painting, and interactive games. The warmth, laughter, and knowledge exchanged created an atmosphere of joy and togetherness.
The event successfully achieved its objective. It sparked curiosity, empathy, and admiration in children for the older generation. Most importantly, it strengthened the bond between generations. The smiles shared and hands held truly made the past and present come alive in harmony.
