On January 26, 2024, a delegation from Rotary Club Of Poona Airport, including Rtn Kumar, President Sanjay, IPP and Hon Secretary Mohinish, along with other members, and Rtn Mahajan from RC Miami Airport, visited Sumati Balwan School to conduct a shoe distribution as part of their Annual Sunergy project, 'Happy Tiny Feet'. The warmth of the school's hospitality was evident through a traditional welcome with tika on foreheads, an arti ceremony, and a lively Lazium performance by the students.

Upon our arrival, the school faculty extended a warm greeting and presented a variety of performances. The students showcased their talent by chanting 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' and 'Vande Mataram' while forming a human pyramid. A compelling skit and a bamboo dance reminiscent of Mizoram's "Cheraw dance" were part of the vibrant display. One girl student even impressively manipulated a steel bar with her hands, while a play about Dr. Ambedkar, enacted by both boys and girls, captivated everyone.

Under the 'Happy Tiny Feet' initiative, a total of 637 pairs of shoes were distributed, amounting to Rs. 159,250. The joy on the students' faces as they received their new shoes was profoundly heartwarming.

Our visit also included a tour of the school's facilities, including the Electrical and Mechanical labs and a tree house. The day concluded with a delectable breakfast/brunch featuring Thalipith, Upma, a mixed vegetable salad, and delightful laddos, all prepared by the school's staff and students. The overall experience left us with a deep sense of fulfillment and gratitude.
