Pure Water, Brighter Futures: Pimpri Elite Transforms Lives at Sevagiri School
Satara, Maharashtra – In a powerful demonstration of Rotary’s commitment to health and education, the Rotary Club of Pimpri Elite has completed a transformative inter-district project at the Sevagiri School in Pusegaon, Satara. The club donated and installed a state-of-the-art 250 LPH Water Softener, Purification & Dispensing System, directly addressing a critical water quality crisis for over 2,200 students.
For the rural students of Pusegaon, access to safe drinking water was a significant challenge. The local water supply, with a dangerously high Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) level exceeding 500, posed serious health risks and impacted the well-being of the entire school community.
The newly installed system has revolutionized this essential resource. The water TDS has been dramatically reduced from over 500 to a safe and healthy 56, ensuring that every student now has access to clean, soft, and purified drinking water throughout the school day. This intervention goes beyond mere convenience; it is a fundamental investment in the children’s health, cognitive development, and overall school attendance.
This project stands as a stellar example of Rotary collaboration. As an inter-district initiative, it highlights how clubs can extend their impact beyond their immediate locality to address pressing needs in neighbouring communities.
