Global PI ---- साता समुद्रापलीकडे हेरिटेज क्लब

रोटरी क्लब ऑफ पुणे हेरिटेज तर्फे एप्रिल 26 महिन्यात *विश्व मराठी एकांकिका, बालनाट्य आणि ज्येष्ठ साहित्यिका शकुंतला फडणीस स्मृती मराठी कविता/उतारा सादरीकरण स्पर्धा* मोठ्या उत्साहात संपन्न झाली.या स्पर्धा परदेशातील महाराष्ट्र मंडळे, थिएटर ग्रूप्स आणि परदेशात निवास करणाऱ्या मराठी समुदायासाठी आयोजित केल्या होत्या. स्पर्धेचे हे पाचवे वर्ष.

या वर्षी 12 विविध देशांमधून 29 संघानी एकांकिका आणि बालनाट्य स्पर्धेत* सहभाग घेतला तर *कविता स्पर्धेत 20 हून अधिक देशांमधून 86 मुलानी सहभाग घेतला.

अक्षय तृतीयेच्या मंगल दिवशी 19 एप्रिलला स्पर्धेचा शुभारंभ DGE नितीन ढमाले, प्रसिद्ध अभिनेते आनंद इंगळे आणि व्यावसायिक दिलीप कोटीभास्कर यांच्या उपस्थितीत उत्साहात पार पडला. ' नमन नटवरा ' या नांदीने कार्यक्रमाची सुरुवात झाली आणि उद्घाटनासाठी केलेल्या विशेष फिल्मने स्पर्धा सुरू झाली.

स्पर्धांचा समारोप आणि पारितोषिक वितरण 2 मे रोजी DG संतोष मराठे आणि प्रसिद्ध अभिनेते डॉ गिरीश ओक यांच्या हस्ते संपन्न झाला.

दोन्हीही कार्यक्रमात आपल्या क्लब सदस्यांची उपस्थिती उत्तम होती आणि 35 पेक्षा अधिक सदस्यांनी स्पर्धा यशस्वी होण्यासाठी अतिशय कष्ट घेतले.

 प्रेसिडेंट शुभ्रो सेन यांनी या स्पर्धांमधून साध्य होणारा Global PI, Amsterdam येथील संस्थेबरोबर सुरू झालेले स्पर्धा सहकार्य आणि भविष्यात परदेशस्थ समुदायाबरोबर निर्माण होऊ शकणारे मित्रत्व याचा गौरवाने उल्लेख केला.या उपक्रमाने सेवा आणि कला एकत्र येत आहेत आणि त्यातून भविष्यात खूप मोठे कार्य उभे राहू शकेल असे त्यांनी नमूद केले.

परदेशी कलाकारांनी, मंडळानी, मुलांच्या पालकांनी या स्पर्धेविषयी अप्रतिम अभिप्राय नोंदवून स्पर्धा दरवर्षी चालू राहाव्यात अशी भावना व्यक्त केली.

यापुढेही ह्या स्पर्धा अजून मोठ्या प्रमाणावर आणि दिमाखात सादर होतील.

TWO HAPPY SCHOOLS – Building Safe, Healthy, and Engaging Learning Spaces in Rural Communities, by RC Pune Heritage

Despite serving as the only primary school in a 7 km radius, both the schools – Zilla Parishad Prathamik Kendrashala, Andori – Satara and Zilla Parishad Prathamik Kendrashala, Malkapur - Karad faced critical gaps like dilapidated classrooms with damp walls and peeling paint, broken boundary walls, non-functional toilet facilities and hand wash stations, absence of  library, recreational/sports facilities and digital resources – all these leading to high drop outs especially amongst girls. The need assessment for identifying the infrastructural and scholastic gaps for both the schools was done through site visits, school inspection, teacher interviews and parent discussions. Both schools had students from low-income, agrarian, background.

 

The project focused on creating a safe, vibrant, and holistic learning space for every child. Our team delivered the work on time, ensuring minimal disruption to school activities while maintaining high quality standards. 

 

1. The work in Z P School at Andori included:

- Complete painting of the school including educational murals and Bolkya Bhinti_

- Repair of broken portions and complete painting of the boundary walls

- Repair of damaged sections of the boundary wall for safety

- Construction of new separate toilet blocks of boys and girls with wash basins

- New wooden benches to improve classroom seating

- Full library setup with 1200+ diverse books to encourage reading

- 2 Interactive Smart Boards and a colour printer for digital learning

- Sports equipment and musical instruments for all-round development

 

2. Key facilities provided in Z P School at Malkapur:

- Complete painting of classrooms and school premises, including _Bolkya Bhinti_, giving the school a bright, welcoming look

- Civil work covering toilet block repairs, construction of a roof for the boys’ toilet, new floor tiles, wall repairs, and staircase repair with flooring

- Paver blocks laid in the open ground to ensure a clean, dust-free play area

- Revamped hand wash station to promote hygiene

- Wi-Fi connectivity to enable digital learning

- 2 Interactive Smart Boards to make classrooms engaging and tech-enabled

- New playing equipment to encourage physical activity and holistic growth

 

Expected Outcomes include Increased Enrolment, Better Retention and Overall Holistic Growth and Development of the students. We are proud that our intervention would benefit over 500 students annually and has helped the Z P School, Andori get nominated and awarded as an Adarsh Prathamik Zilla Parishad Kendra Shala in the District.

 

The total combined project cost for both schools together was INR 28 lacs, with the major contribution coming from Sava Healthcare Pvt. Ltd.. Turck Automation India Pvt. Ltd. was the other CSR partner who funded this project. Children are the future leaders of our nation and we are thrilled to make a real difference in the lives of these children.
