Installation of Interact Schools:
On Saturday 26th July, students of three schools of PMET Trust, namely, RAJIV GANDHI ENGLISH MEDIUM SCHOOL, HAJI ALTAF HUSSAIN URDU HIGH SCHOOL And LNR KHAN JUNIOR COLLEGE assembled for the installation ceremony. Winding through the narrow lanes of Kondhwa, following members of the Rotary Club of Poona reached the venue: Chief Guest President Rohit Mittra, PP Maithili Manakawad, Guest of Honour - Director Youth Services Brig Prashant Sheode and Interact Chairperson - Rtn Daljeet Raizada,
The Staff of the schools were very active and had made all the arrangements for the function in a very well-coordinated manner. The children were very happy with the Rotary team and welcomed them with cheer. This time the students were shown the seven focus areas of Rotary through a video clip. The visual with audio briefing by Director Youth Services Rtn Brig. Sheode was well received.
Rtn Daljeet then explained to the students the purpose and missions of Rotary members. President Rohit Mittra encouraged the children with his pearls of wisdom while PP Maithili Manakawad was a great support. The confidence of the children was a treat to see. During interaction, the teachers requested the President for more activities of Rotary in the schools and for more projects. The President assured them of all possible support The staff of the 3 schools conveyed happiness and gratitude towards RC Poona for wholehearted support and for projects undertaken. All the new appointees were called up on stage, introduced and then administered the Oath.
