An Evening With Rotary International President.... 

Pune District 3131 has the distinction of India's First Rotary Peace Center opened today with much fanfare in Symbiosis International University, Pune.

The program was graced by several dignitaries from Rotary International including RI President Mr. Francesso Arezzo, Holger Knaac, PF Trustee Chair, Dr. Bharat Pandya, Trustee, TRF. Besides, Symbiosis University Founder Dr. S B Majumdar, VC Dr. Rajiv Yerwadekar also attended the function.

It was a high class event marked with the 30th Anniversary of Rotary Club of Sport City. This Club has the distinction of giving 2 DGs to the District. PRID Mahesh Kotbaghi anchored the proceedings with flair & class. Ganesh Peace Vandana and Krishan Peace story was presented by celebrity dancer Sharvari Jamenis and her team with aplomb.

Importance of Peace cannot be overemphasised in a highly volatile world today deeply polarized on divisive lines. Rotary has a great role to play by its policy of accommodating Diversity, spreading Equity & tolerating Inclusivity. Really a great initiative by Rotary District 3131 DG Rtn. Santosh Marathe.
