A Journey Beyond Miles: Rotary Pristine Car Rally to Coastal Karnataka

A unique and successful Rotary Pristine Car Rally—an enriching blend of fellowship, new friendships, networking, fun-filled travel, and meaningful Rotary service.
Rotary Club of Pune Pristine proudly concluded its first-ever multi-state, multi–Rotary District Car Rally on Sunday, 1st February, marking the successful culmination of an inspiring six-day journey. Covering over 2200 kilometres, Pristinians travelled across four Rotary Districts—3131, 3132, 3170, and 3182, traversing the beautiful landscapes of Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Goa.
The rally unfolded amidst the breathtaking natural beauty of Coastal Karnataka, offering a rich variety of experiences—lush forests, flowing rivers, serene coastlines, majestic mountains, spiritual temples, museums, and historical monuments. Destinations such as Dandeli, Udupi, Murudeshwar, Ankola, Kumta, Honnavar, Idagunji, Yana, and Goa made the journey both visually captivating and spiritually uplifting. Along the way, the rally also included visits to impactful Rotary projects in Kolhapur, Satara, and Wai, reinforcing Rotary’s commitment to service beyond borders.
Through this inspiring initiative, RCP Pristine beautifully bridged Rotary’s current theme “Unite for Good” with the upcoming theme “Creating Lasting Impact.” The rally served as a moving platform to expand and strengthen flagship projects such as Mission Muskan—supporting paediatric heart surgeries, cancer treatment, and transplants—and Mission Bal Suraksha, aimed at protecting children from sexual abuse.
Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed with Districts 3132 and 3170, through RC Kolhapur (D3170) and RC Wai (D3132), enabling free treatment for children from Satara, Solapur, Sangli, Kolhapur, and the Konkan region—a significant step toward sustainable service.
A highlight of the rally was the joint meeting with Rotary Club of Udupi, where Vocational Service Month was meaningfully celebrated by conferring Vocational Excellence Awards, honouring professionals who exemplify service through their work.
Beyond the formal engagements, the six-day Pristine Car Rally was filled with joy—leisurely activities like boating, sightseeing, heartfelt conversations, countless photographs, and the creation of lifelong memories. Most importantly, it fostered new Rotarian friendships, cross-district camaraderie, and the exchange of inspiring ideas to truly “Do Good in the World.”

This landmark rally will remain etched in our hearts—not just as a journey across states, but as a journey of purpose, partnership, and lasting impact.
