Rotary Club of Poona presents Flag to President of Mauritius
Rotarians of International Avenue (RID 3131) visited Mauritius for a Friendship exchange trip. Highlight of the visit was Meeting with His Excellency Dharambeer Gokhool, the president of Mauritius. In the meeting Flag of Rotary Club of Poona was presented to His Highness. Rotary Club of Poona is one of the oldest club in Rotary in India (chartered in 1936).

It has been has been working tirelessly to help the underprivileged of society for over 89years. As a goodwill gesture Rotarians from Rotary Club of Poona, PDG Dr Deepak Shikarpur, Dr Farida Irani, Dr Kamal Palia presented club Flag . Hon President spent Quality time with Rotarians and appreciated visiting him. He also shared his memories from India especially interaction with late Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. During the Mauritius visit Rotarians also attended special weekly meeting of Rotary Club of Haute Rive and visited special project on October 2 to garland statue of Late Mahatma Gandhi.

The delegation included Rotarians from Rotary Clubs of Poona, Khadki, Pune Gandhibhavan and Amanora city. Delegation lead by Director Dr Madhura Vpra included PDG Dr Deepak Shikarpur (International Chair) , Dr Madhura Vipra (Dirctor), Dr Kirti Kelkar, Ravi Vipra , Dr Lalit Shimpi, Dr Shalaka Shimpi, Abbas Bootwalla, Shamim Bootwalla, Smita Kamsmalkar, Harshwardhini, Dr Kamal Palia and Dr Farida Irani.
