Rotary Club of Pune Kothrud successfully conducted the 21st Geet Gayan Spardha 2023–24, District Singing Competition for Rotarians and Rotary Anns/Annas of District 3131 on 7th January 2024 at MCCI&A, Tilak Road, Pune. The event was inaugurated at the hands of District Governor Rtn.Manjoo Phadke. RCPK President Indraneel Mujgule and District Cultural Director Rtn. Amruta Deogaonkar graced the event. Rtn Urmila Haldankar has been instrumental in chairing this event for the last 21 years along with a team of dedicated Rotary Anns of RCPK. This year 50 Rotarians and Rotary Anns/Annas from 21 clubs of RI district 3131 participated and showcased their talent with the help of Mr. Subhash Deshpande and his team of musicians.
Every year, professional singers or musicians are invited to judge the participants and this year too we were honoured to have excellent Judges - Mrs. Aparna Sant, Mrs. Madhura Gaisas and Mr. Ketan Godbole. More than 100 Rotarians from the Host Club as well as from other clubs of District 3131 attended this remarkable event.
Prerana Joshi of Rotary Club of Metro and Manoj Khaladkar of Rotary Club of Gandhi Bhavan won the first prize in the Ladies and Gents group respectively.
