Greetings from PDG Pankaj Shah, DG 21-22.
Rotary is changing rapidly nowadays. We need to keep ourselves updated for the same.
Many policies may be Rotary Foundation or Rotary International are updated time to time for the need of the hour where basic principles remain the same SERVICE ABOVE SELF.
There are numerous online manual and guidance videos of all the avenues of Rotary on website www.rotary.org. Request all Rotarians to visit the website and get updated for the avenue we will use for. It can also depend on the role you are playing currently, club president, club director, district director, District Governor so on and so forth.
I personally feel that keeping updated will always create Rotarians interest in Rotary.
Many activities are there under the huge umbrella of Rotary International. Rotary Youth Exchange, Rotary Fellowship Groups, Rotary Action Groups, Rotary Convention & Many More, which keep interest of Rotarians in the avenue they like for.
I have attended 12 Rotary International Conventions where you meet 15000-25000 Rotary Delegates all over the world. This helps you understand and learn diverse cultures and of course business connections. We have Rotary Means Business in Rotary to enhance your business connections all over the world.
Facts remain that only 20-25 % Rotarians are updated about Rotary International Latest developments, I feel that increased efforts are required to reach grass root Rotarians.
This will ensure retention in membership as well as greater contribution to Rotary Foundation: DOING GOOD IN THE WORLD.
