Rotary Youth Exchange – Opening Doors to the World

Dear Rotarians,

The Rotary Youth Exchange Program (RYE) offers an extraordinary opportunity for students aged 15 to 18 years— whether from Rotarian or non-Rotarian families—to experience life abroad, embrace new cultures, and develop as global citizens. This transformative program welcomes all enthusiastic young minds, expanding its impact across the entire community.

Through Youth Exchange, participants can choose either a short-term summer program or a full academic year in a foreign country. Students gain invaluable skills, build lifelong friendships, and return home with greater confidence, maturity, and a commitment to international understanding.

RYE is much more than a cultural trip—it is a leadership journey where students become ambassadors of India and Rotary values. Every participant has the potential to become a changemaker, inspiring others with a broader worldview.

Rotarians play a vital role by encouraging promising students—within their families, schools, and neighborhoods—to apply for this life-changing experience. Timely motivation and guidance can help students and parents embrace the unique opportunities the program offers.

Applications for the 2026 exchange are open until November 2025. Country assignments will be announced in December 2025 and selected students will depart for their host countries in August 2026. Let’s make sure more youth benefit from this global platform.
