Hands along the Ganga: Inali Prosthetic Hand Camps, held in Prayagraj, Mirzapur & Varanasi – in November 2025
The Inali Battery-Operated Hand Fitment Camps in Prayagraj, Mirzapur and Varanasi cumulatively
benefitted 103 persons (106 hands incl. 3 bilaterals).
These were the 43rd,44th & 45th camps for Inali Prosthetic Hands conducted by, Rotary Club of
Poona Downtown, jointly organised with: Rotary Club of Allahabad Midtown, Prayagraj, Rotary Club Mirzapur and Bharat Vikas Parishad, Varanasi.
The team members travelling by train endured significant challenges. Yet, despite exhaustion and travel hurdles, every one of them attended the Press Conference exactly as the hosts had hoped.

Avnish Kumar lost his hand in childhood due to an accident involving a chara cutting
machine. Yet this talented and determined sportsperson rose above every challenge. He
won a Gold Medal at the Asian Youth Ability Games and went on to secure Gold in the
Hurdles Race and Bronze in Javelin Throw in the tournaments recently organised in
Thailand.
After receiving the Inali Hand, Avnish expressed his joy, saying that he felt he
had gained “a new life altogether.” With renewed hope, he shared that he can now fulfil
his long-cherished dream of driving a car.
