Roatry Club of Khadki Back

Mission Jal Punarjeevan  : RID 3131 Brings Water Back To Life.

A Vision of RID 3131, conceived designed and driven by the Rotary Club of Khadki.

Across Rural  Pune , Community Borewells have fallen silent – leaving families, often women and children to walk long distances to get water. Our district had long held this vision of changing this. It took the Rotary Club of Khadki to turn that vision into a Project.

On 3rd May, 2026, RID 3131launched Mission Jal Punarjeevan, with Rotary club of Khadki’s Global Grant of 42,000 US $ at Pirangut Grampanchayat. DG. Santosh Marathe, PDG Manjoo Phadke, Shri Dhere, Deputy Engineer, Pune ZillaParishad, President of our Foreign  Partner club, Rtn. Mark Seidel,of RC Muhlacker – Enzkreis (RID 1830, Germany) , crossed Continents to be with us and that said, everything ! Many thanks to our club team of President Raj Tejwaney, PP Mahesh Makhija, PP Mukesh Agarwal and PP Vineet Mathur to get us the GG.

This Project has achieved what similar proposals long struggled to do, Cleared the Rigourous Scrutiny of the Rotary Foundation. Anchored by a three year MOU , with Zilla Parishad, powered by BoreCharger technology, this is not a promise but a Plan ! RC Khadki, is implementing the first Phase of 200 Borewells, across 4 talukas, within our district vision of 1000 Borewells to be Recharged.

Every Club in District has a story. Come in as a club, bring CSR Partner, or build your own Global Grant. The District team, headed by our clubs very senior Rtn. PP Mukesh Agarwal as District Director, stands ready to help with GG’s or CSR presentation. The water is waiting and so are the Villagers.

Thank you,

Always in Rotary, IPP Seema Bedekar.
