Rotary Club of Lonavala Conducts Free Eye Check-up Camp for School Students

Rotary Club of Lonavala successfully conducted an Eye Check-up Camp on 6th December at Lonavala Nagar Parishad Madhyamik School, Bhangarwadi, Lonavala, a less-privileged municipal school where students from 7th to 10th standard are studying.
During this initiative, around 300 students underwent comprehensive eye examinations. It was observed that many students had never had their eyesight checked earlier, which can significantly affect their academic performance.
As part of the project, the Rotary Club of Lonavala provided free spectacles to nearly 60 students who were diagnosed with vision problems. These spectacles were distributed at no cost, ensuring that financial constraints do not come in the way of students’ education.
This project was undertaken with the belief that good vision is essential for effective learning, and early detection of eye problems can make a lasting difference in a child’s educational journey. The Rotary Club of Lonavala remains committed to serving the community through meaningful projects that support health and education.
