A Grand Beginning to RIY 2025–26! 

The Rotaract Club of Genba Sopanrao Moze College of Engineering, sponsored by Rotary Club of Poona West, proudly hosted its 2nd Installation Ceremony on 5th July 2025, becoming the first Club in District 3131 to begin the new Rotaract year — right from Zone 7!

The ceremony marked a significant transition as Rtr. Shrawani Shendkar took charge as President and Rtr. Shivraj Surwase as Secretary, along with the newly installed Board of Directors for RIY 2025–26. The baton of leadership was ceremoniously handed over by President RIY 2024–25 to the new team, symbolizing continuity and growth.

 The event began with a Vithal-Rukmai puja and sapling plantation, embracing cultural roots and the spirit of new beginnings. The ceremony was enriched by the insightful and motivating address from the Chief Guest – PHF DRR Rtr. Dwijesh Nashikkar, and Guest of Honour – Principal Dr. Ratnaraja Kumar Jambi and Rtn. Deepak Kulkarni from the sponsoring Rotary Club of Poona West.

 Highlight of the Event:

PHF PDRR Rtr. Akshay More left everyone in awe by contributing 25 USD to the Rotary Foundation, representing half the amount a club donates internationally — a gesture that truly embodied the spirit of giving and service.

The Open Forum segment brought vibrancy and interaction, sparking thoughtful discussions and fresh ideas among attendees. The event was graced by a lively and supportive audience, including college faculty members, members of Rotary Club of Poona, Aura Council members, IPDRR Rtr. Drishti Singh, Presidents of fellow Rotaract Clubs and a host of energetic Rotaractors from across the District.

With culture, gratitude, leadership, and inspiration beautifully woven together, the event set a promising tone for the Rotaract Year 2025–26. Here’s to a year full of purpose, passion, and impactful service!
