Financial Literacy Workshops held in Schools.
Rotary Club of Khadki with CSR partner Ratnanidhi Trust (Mumbai) held a series of Financial Literacy Workshops for students from 5th to 8th Standard, in 3 schools. The workshops were done between 20th February 2026 and 10th March 2026, including post workshop tests.
An interesting concept of teaching financial knowledge to students, who are the future generation in the making. This knowledge imparted gives each child a life skill for their Holistic Development. The program is based on 2 Pillars; education and awareness.
It starts with the earliest of financial transactions like Barter system to today’s world of Digital exchange of money for goods. It empowers them by teaching them habits of Saving, basic banking, as students can open accounts with Parents. And also teaching them safe handling of funds, awareness and how to stay safe from digital frauds. The students exhibited a keen interest , asking relevant questions and understanding the sessions well. Their Knowledge of English was amazing. The special SEBI trained trainers conduvted the sessions. The post tests have also been submitted.
The 3 schools that took part were KILBIL SCHOOL 313 students, Pimple Gurav, KILBIL- E- Learning School, Vadu , 103 students and K-Tech Academy Kondhwa 629 students. Total no. of students was 1045 in the workshops. Clubs hard working team was headed by Young Generation Director, Capt. Dilip Singh and PP Vineet Mathur, assisted by PP Shirish and Madhu Chopda with IPP Seema Bedekar. Program facilitated by PP Manju Prasad.
