RYLA at MMCC Law College
A 2 day RYLA was conducted at MMCC Law College on 24th & 25th Feb 2026.
The theme was "Leading Your Profession To Success".
This RYLA was organized for the first year Law Students & so our Committee thought we should invite experienced professionals from the legal domain & academia as faculty to guide the students on the finer aspects of the legal profession & Management skills.
We invited 3 external faculty for this RYLA. Of them, 2 were from the legal profession & 1 from academia.
Day 1 - 24th Feb
The first session was conducted by Adv Shrikant Malegaonkar, a Senior Advocate specializing in Labour Laws, Industrial Relations & Civil Laws. Adv Shrikant Malegaonkar, quoting from his extensive experience guided the Students on the essentials to succeed in the legal profession. He explained the Characteristics of a good lawyer. He also urged the Students to develop the habit of reading, good drafting, managing stress, developing a rich vocabulary, and a professional identity. Adv Malegaonkar also stressed the importance of anticipation to succeed in the legal profession.
The second session was conducted by Prof Narhari Patil, Principal of Lokseva College of Pharmacy.
Prof Patil guided the Students on principles of Management explained by the model of IKEQASE.

Prof Patil urged the Students to keenly follow the latest developments in field of AI & develop skills in the use of AI as it will open many possibilities in various businesses.
Day 2 - 25th Feb.
The first session of day 2 was conducted by Adv Shubhankar Malegaonkar. He spoke on the realities a lawyer has to face in their Career. He cautioned the students that the Legal profession is very competitive so they should become sincere students of Law. They should attend classes, make full use of libraries, work as interns in Chambers of Senior Lawyers, & do continuous learning. Adv Shubhankar also stressed on the need of thorough preparation before representing a Client. Quoting from his personal experience, Adv Malegaonkar advised the Students to take failures as a part of their profession & learn from such failures. Adv Malegaonkar also explained the dos & donts to be observed while practising Law.
The second session on Day 2 was conducted by Satyajit Chitale. Satyajit guided the Students on Crisis Management. Explaining the various aspects of Crisis Management, Satyajit introduced the Students on how to solve Crisis using the Turtle Diagram. Satyajit presented a Case Study related to the legal profession & guided the Students on how to resolve the Crisis presented in the Case Study using the Turtle Diagram.
In between the sessions on Day 2, Umesh Kulkarni conducted a couple of activities to energize the group.
A total of 70 students participated in the 2 day RYLA.
