Rotary Club of Nigdi Pune and Adisoft Technologies Donate Mini Bus to Support Young Kabaddi Players

Bhosari, Pune, June 16: In a significant boost to grassroots sports development, Rotary Club of Nigdi Pune, in partnership with its CSR partner Adisoft Technologies Ltd, donated a mini bus to Bhairavnath Krida Sanstha, Bhosari, to facilitate transportation for aspiring Kabaddi players participating in tournaments across Maharashtra.

Bhairavnath Krida Sanstha provides residential and non-residential coaching to nearly 400 young Kabaddi players, many of whom come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. The institution bears the cost of coaching, accommodation and specialised nutrition required for the sport. Over the years, several trainees have gone on to play professional Kabaddi, while others have secured jobs in the Police, Defence Services, Railways and other government departments.

The need for a dedicated vehicle was highlighted by coach Sandeep Suryawanshi, who noted that regular travel to tournaments is essential for the players’ growth and exposure. Responding to this requirement, PCMC-based Adisoft Technologies Ltd funded the mini bus through its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative.

The handover ceremony was attended by office bearers of Rotary Club of Nigdi Pune, representatives of Adisoft Technologies Ltd, and officials of Bhairavnath Krida Sanstha, including President Machindra Landge and Head Coach Santosh Landge. The Adisoft Technologies team was represented by Shashikant Magdum (Non-Executive Director), Mayura Darvekar (CFO), and Ajit Salvi (Senior Manager – Sales).

Young players of the academy also presented an exhibition Kabaddi match that drew enthusiastic applause from the audience.

Speaking on the occasion, Rotary Club President Keshav Manage expressed confidence that the facility would help nurture sporting talent and hoped that some of the youngsters would one day represent India at the highest level while creating a brighter future for their families.

The initiative reflects a shared commitment towards youth empowerment, sports development and community welfare through meaningful corporate-social partnerships.
