Empowering Education Through Digital Access in Kurkumbh

Access to quality education is a powerful enabler of change, and digital tools play a crucial role in shaping young minds for the future. With this belief, the Rotary Club of Pune Deccan Gymkhana successfully completed a meaningful CSR initiative aimed at strengthening digital education in rural and semi-urban schools.
Under this project, the club donated 34 computers and 8 interactive screens to 8 schools in and around the Kurkumbh area, significantly enhancing their teaching and learning infrastructure. These resources will enable students to gain digital exposure, improve learning outcomes, and bridge the technology gap in classrooms.
This impactful project was made possible through a generous contribution of ₹20 lakhs by PP Rtn. Ravi Nangia of Harmony Organics, Kurkumbh, whose commitment to education and community development continues to inspire Rotary’s service initiatives. His support reflects the true spirit of corporate social responsibility—where resources are directed towards long-term societal impact.
The project was implemented in synergy with the Rotary Club of Kurkumbh MIDC, demonstrating the strength of inter-club collaboration. By working together, both clubs ensured effective identification of beneficiary schools and smooth execution of the project.
This initiative stands as a fine example of how Rotary, in partnership with socially responsible individuals and organisations, can create sustainable change. By investing in education and digital empowerment, the project lays a strong foundation for students to become confident, capable, and future-ready citizens.
The Rotary Club of Pune Deccan Gymkhana remains committed to undertaking such impactful projects that align with Rotary’s mission of service above self and continues to Unite for Good through meaningful action.
