My Dear Fellow Rotarians,

Warm greetings to you all!

As we reflect on the vibrant months of April and May, I feel a deep sense of pride in the impactful work and memorable moments we have created together as Rotary District 3131. As reported on the District website, all clubs put together have done more than 2700 impactful projects.

April, dedicated to Maternal and Child Health, witnessed outstanding initiatives across our clubs. The focused drive on HPV vaccination for 14-year-old school girls is a shining example of our commitment to preventive healthcare and community well-being. Each effort in this direction is a step towards a healthier and empowered future generation.

A truly special highlight of the month was our Major Donor Black Tie Dinner held on 25th April at Marigold Banquets. It was an elegant and memorable evening celebrating generosity and commitment to The Rotary Foundation. We were privileged to have RIDE Gurjeet Singh Sekhon as our Chief Guest, whose inspiring words reinforced the importance of giving and the lasting impact of our contributions. He spoke to us about way ahead. The presence of our esteemed Major Donors made the evening truly meaningful. Their continued trust and support towards Rotary’s mission enable us to transform lives and communities. It was heartening to see the fellowship, pride, and shared purpose that filled the room. I sincerely thank our Foundation team, District Secretariat, Events team, and the host club for organizing such a wonderful event—one that all donors truly enjoyed and cherished.

We also continue to build awareness and action towards sustainability. The recent conference on Circular Economy has set the tone for responsible and forward-thinking initiatives within our district, encouraging clubs to adopt sustainable practices in their service projects.

May, being Youth Service Month, reminds us to nurture and empower our young leaders. Our Interact and Rotaract clubs continue to inspire us with their enthusiasm, innovation, and dedication to service. They are not just the future of Rotary—they are its dynamic present.

On May 29, 2026 we have an important event – CSR Awards & Summit. At this event we would be felicitating all our CSR Partners. We look forward to also welcoming prospective CSR Partners.

As we move towards the final phase of this Rotary year, let us maintain our momentum and strive to achieve even greater impact. I encourage all of you to continue supporting The Rotary Foundation through the Annual Fund, Endowment contributions, and our collective commitment to Polio eradication. We have to collectively achieve USD 1 million to the Annual Fund.

Let us not lose our focus on Member retention. We have till date added 474 members and want to retain every member in our clubs.

Let us finish strong, celebrate our journey, and continue to serve with passion and purpose.

With warm regards,

DG Santosh Marathe
