Dear Fellow Rotarians,
Warm greetings to you all!
January has been a very hectic month where we had the most important event - Establishment of Rotary's 8th Peace Center at Symbiosis International University, Lavale, Pune. We had very special moments on February 25th when all the Presidents and President Elects got an opportunity to hear to our RI President Francesco Arezzo and interact with him in the morning. This event was followed by a special event at Symbiosis Vishwa Bhavan on Senapati Bapat Road for all members and guests from other Districts. We witnessed a wonderful program organised by RCP Sports City and were privileged to hear to our RIP Francesco and Trustee Chair Holger Knaack. A Peace Pole was installed and inaugurated at this venue.
The main function was on our Republic Day, which also happens to be the Foundation Day of Symbiosis, where the Rotary Peace Center was officially inaugurated by RIP Francesco, Trustee Chair Holger, Dr SB Mujumdar, Mrs Mujumdar, Dr Vidya and Dr Rajiv Yeravdekar. It is indeed a very Proud Moment for all of us at RID 3131.
February is a defining month in our Rotary journey—a moment to pause, reflect, and then move forward with renewed energy and purpose. Across District 3131, I have seen Rotary at its best: clubs serving selflessly, leaders stepping up with commitment, and members strengthening fellowship through action.
This month, our collective Rotary spirit finds its grand expression at our District Conference – “RUTURANG”, on 7th and 8th February at Mahabaleshwar.
RUTURANG is not just an event—it is a movement. A movement that celebrates service, leadership, learning, recognition, and togetherness. It is where ideas inspire action, fellowship strengthens bonds, and we Rotarians rediscover the joy and power of belonging to Rotary.
I strongly urge every Rotarian, along with family members, to be a part of 'RUTURANG'. Your presence matters. When we gather in large numbers, we send out a powerful message—that District 3131 stands united, committed, and ready to lead from the front.
The Rotary message for the year, “Unite for Good,” comes alive at ''RUTURANG. It is here that we unite—not just to celebrate our achievements, but to renew our promise to serve communities with greater impact, inclusivity, and sustainability.
As we move into the second half of the Rotary year, I urge clubs to focus on:
Engaging and retaining members
Executing need-based, sustainable projects
Supporting The Rotary Foundation, enabling us to create lasting local and global impact. Let us ensure that every Rotarian feels involved, valued, and inspired. When unity meets action, Rotary creates magic.
Let RUTURANG be the turning point where inspiration transforms into action and fellowship transforms into strength.
Let us truly – UNITE FOR GOOD.
