Review of District events Zonal Admin & Literacy Seminar Back
Rotary International District 3131 successfully conducted the Zonal Admin and Literacy Seminar for Zone 3, 4 , 5 and 6 on 28th September 2025, hosted by the Rotary Club of Deccan Gymkhana and co-hosted by Rotary Club of Pune Metro and Rotary Club of Pune Karvenagar. The event was held at the prestigious Cummins College of Engineering for Women, Karvenagar, Pune, and was attended by enthusiastic Rotarians from across the zones. The seminar was aimed at enhancing club administration practices and promoting literacy initiatives, two pillars that drive effective Rotary service.

The program commenced with a warm welcome address delivered by Rtn. Sarita Goenka, President of the Host Club RC Deccan Gymkhana, who set the tone for the day by emphasizing the importance of training and collaboration. This was followed by the ceremonial Lighting of the Lamp by PDG Rtn. Pankaj Shah, who also delivered an inspiring inaugural speech highlighting the role of efficient administration and literacy projects in sustaining Rotary’s impact in the community.
The Admin Seminar session was conducted by Rtn. Vrinda Walimbe, with assistance from Rtn. Nakshatra Mankikar. The session covered a wide spectrum of essential topics such as compliance requirements, accurate reporting systems, and effective communication channels. A special emphasis was placed on understanding the Manual of Procedure (MOP) and the significance of establishing and maintaining a Club Trust to ensure transparency and sustainability in Rotary operations.

The seminar adopted an interactive approach, encouraging active participation from club officers and members. Participants engaged in discussions, shared their experiences, and sought clarifications on challenges faced in their respective clubs. This collaborative learning environment not only provided practical solutions but also strengthened the bonds between clubs.
