My Dear Rotarians,
As we step into the New Year 2026, I wish each one of you and your families a year filled with good health, peace, purpose, and impactful service.
This is a month of reflection and renewal. It offers us an opportunity to look back with gratitude at what we have achieved together in last 6 months and to move ahead with fresh energy and renewed commitment. January holds special significance as Vocational Service Month, reminding us that every profession has the potential to serve society with ethics, excellence, and compassion.
Rotary believes that our vocations are not just means of livelihood, but powerful tools for service. I encourage all clubs to undertake vocational initiatives such as skill development programs, career guidance, mentorship, workplace ethics sessions, and recognition of exemplary professionals. Let us proudly showcase the many colours of service represented by our diverse vocations.
This month also strongly reflects Rotary’s core value of peace and understanding. In this context, I earnestly appeal to all Rotarians to actively participate in the Rotary Peace Center functions being organized on January 25 and 26. These programs provide us a meaningful platform to learn, reflect, and reaffirm our collective commitment to peacebuilding, conflict resolution, and harmony in our communities. Your presence and involvement will add great strength to this important Rotary cause.
A special highlight of the coming months is our District Conference — “RUTURANG”, themed “Uniting through Colours of Service.” It is a vibrant celebration of Rotary fellowship, learning, inspiration, and culture. I sincerely request all Rotarians and their families to register in large numbers and participate wholeheartedly. The District Conference is not just an event; it is an experience that strengthens our Rotary bonding, showcases our achievements, and energizes us for greater service ahead.
I also urge clubs to continue focusing on:
- Meaningful and sustainable projects
- Active member engagement and retention
- Leadership development and fellowship
- Strong support for The Rotary Foundation, enabling us to do good in the world
Our contributions to TRF enable us to expand our impact locally and globally — from supporting humanitarian projects to funding peace programs, scholarships, and disaster relief. I encourage every Rotarian to make generous contributions to TRF this month,
Let us participate actively in district initiatives and events, share best practices, and grow stronger as one Rotary family.
As we move forward in this Rotary year, let us serve with compassion, integrity, and enthusiasm, making a lasting difference in our communities.
