Club Information :-

RC Goregaon  is the one known for its  distinguished   project done  under the Avenue of environment and sustainability.

Under its Global Grant Project, Tejonidhi, erected a solar farm of 121 KwH for Grampanchayat Goregaon in 2022. It powers the pumps of the local water scheme saving about Rs 1 lakh per month in power bills. So far it has generated a total of 480 MW power, saved Rs. 35 Lacs in total, and prevented emissions of 479 tonnes of carbon into the environment (which is equivalent to planting approx 18,000 fully grown trees).

Club had done a matching grant project in collaboration with RC Lake Mills (US) in 2012. Under this they had donated high yield holstein cows to carefully selected marginal farmer families, leading to their economic upliftment. Club has  continued the project and has donated cows to more than 50 families so far.

Since 2012  they have been publishing annually a large size, 4 colour offset printing calendars every year. 5000 copies of the calendar are distributed free of cost to households and businesses in and around Goregaon up to Mangaon & Mahad. It has proved to be a great PR exercise.

Club has started an art circle under the bamner "Rotary Kalamanch" in 2012. Under this for a nominal annual fee they  arrange shows of 4-5 top commercial marathi dramas for the circle members. It has enriched the cultural life of the community and has proved to be a great success with the local population.
