Black Tie Dinner’ Back

Black is Gold

On 7th March 2025, ‘Black Tie Dinner’ was organised by District 3131 at Lemon Tree Premier, Pune. The Hosts were Rotary Club of Pune Pashan and the Chief Guests were Past RI President and Trustee Chair, Mark and Gay Meloni and Past RI Director Dr. Bharat Pandya.

Black Tie Dinner is a formal event recognised by Rotary International and generally is done to recognise the philanthropists amongst us who donate generously to RI Foundation. This year almost 150 Rotarians attended the event.

The meeting was called by RCP Pashan President Rtn.Amit Bhade, followed by introduction to RCP Pashan by Convenor Rtn.Hemant Jere with an AV. DG Rtn.Shital Shah elaborated on the progress done by District 3131 in the year 24-25, followed by the speech of  ARRFC Pankaj, who showed ‘The Way Ahead’. Dr. Bharat Pandya was introduced by DGE Rtn.Santosh Marathe and Dr. Bharat himself introduced Past RI President and Trustee Chair Rtn.Mark Meloni. Both of them gave moving speeches talking about Foundation’s legacy, it’s roll and District 3131’s rising status.

There were recognitions of Major Donors to Annual Fund and Major Donors through CSR. The highlight of the event was Induction of Rtn.Supriya and Shrikant Badwe  and Rtn.Nitin and Meena Desai in Arch Klunff Society  in a proper ceremony as per RI Protocols. All the recognitions were done at the hands of all the three chief guests.

IPDG Rtn. Manjoo Phadke spoke about upcoming CSR awards and vote of thanks was given by District Executive Secretary Rtn.Vivek Dixit. Everyone enjoyed the event immensely.
