RCP Shivajinagar recently orchestrated a musical extravaganza, "Golden Melodies," to raise funds for their ongoing projects. The event, which attracted around 600 attendees, including over 400 non-Rotarians, was not only a fundraising success but also a showcase of the club's commitment to public image.
The evening featured renowned stage singer Mr. Alok Katdare, who mesmerized the audience with popular songs from the golden era of Bollywood, paying tribute to the legendary Kishore Kumar. His performance, accompanied by a live music orchestra, left spectators spellbound.
Adding to the musical magic, Vivek Pande captivated the audience with soulful renditions of Mohammed Rafi's hits, while Ms. Kkomal Krushnaa showcased her classical prowess with melodies from Lata Mangeshkar's repertoire.
The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Suhas Divase, a dynamic District Collector, as the chief guest, and DGE Sheetal Shah as the guest of honor. To promote environmental consciousness, eco-friendly cotton bags were distributed to all attendees, encouraging them to say no to plastic bags.
President Dr. Smita Jog welcomed the dignitaries and artists, presenting them with small mementos. The evening was not just about fundraising; it was about creating "Golden Memories" through the power of "Golden Melodies.
