Dear Rotarians,
December, the month dedicated to Disease Prevention and Treatment, reminds us of Rotary’s deepest purpose — to serve where the need is greatest and to heal where the world hurts the most. As we move into the final stretch of the calendar year, I am filled with pride at the energy, compassion, and commitment that each one of you has demonstrated across our district. As many as 990 projects have been uploaded by various clubs on our District website – this is encouraging.
A major highlight of the past month was our District Foundation Seminar – "Nirmaan", held on November 28. The seminar was a resounding success, showcasing our district’s strong belief in the power of The Rotary Foundation. I wholeheartedly thank the Convenor PP Kailash Monga, the Host Club RC Poona, RID MMM, RRFC Surender Bomireddy and RGO Caroline Kwak along with our dynamic Foundation Team, for organising an inspiring and impactful program. The participation and enthusiasm of our Rotarians reaffirmed that District 3131 is committed to elevating its Foundation performance to new heights. We still have a long way to go in our contributions to TRF – Annual Fund, Major Gifts and Polio. We are doing good in Global Grant and CSR Grants.
This month also gives us an opportunity to rededicate ourselves to the Rotary Foundation — the engine that transforms our vision into measurable impact. I urge every club and every Rotarian to come forward with generous giving. Your contributions ensure more global grants, more sustainable projects, and more hope for communities that rely on us.
Our projects in Maternal & Child health, cervical cancer screening, eye care, dialysis support, and community health missions have continued to touch lives in a profound way. I congratulate every club that has taken bold steps to make healthcare more accessible, especially to the underserved.
We have organised RCC Conference on December 14, 2025. Please ensure that your RCC members attend it in large numbers. Details would be shared on various WA groups.
As we celebrate the festive season of Christmas, let us carry forward the Rotary spirit of compassion, fellowship and service. May this month bring good health, peace, and inspiration to you and your families.
Together, let’s continue building a healthier, stronger, and more caring community.
Warm regards,
Rtn. Santosh Marathe
