Profile of PDG Ashok Kantoor

He is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAI) of India. He is also a Law graduate from Delhi University and has done Diploma in Information System Audit (DISA) from ICAI.
He is the managing partner of M/s Ashok Kantoor & Co., Chartered Accountants, which was founded by him in 1985.
He joined Rotary in 1997-98 as a member of Rotary Club of Delhi West and became the President of the Club in 2004-05. During his tenure as President he started a vocational training centre, the first showcase project of the Club, which is running sucessfully till date.
He has consistently been recognized for his performance at District and Club level. Some were as under:
  • Best President of the District for the year 2004-05
  • District Trophy for the Best Rotarian of the District in 2006-07 and again in 2017-18
  • Four Avenues of Service Award for the year 2006-07
  • He  received  the prestigious SERVICE ABOVE SELF Award in the year 2020-21, the highest Award given by Rotary International to any Rotarian.
As District Governor of RID 3011 for the year 2022-23 he made landmark achievements. Some of the highlights are :
  • First time in the District 100% paperless Governor’s Official Visit (OCV) was conducted.
  • Membership growth was highest in Zone 4 in the Country. He was awarded in 4 out of six categories of membership growth, being highest in three. 
  • Rotary Foundation contribution was of USD 18.62 millions which was the highest in the history of the District 3011 uptil 2022-23, 2nd Highest in Zone 4 and 11th in the World. He made 5 AKS, 63 major Donors and 403 PHF members during his tenure.  
  •  He made the first pool endowment in the District named as” DG 22-23 and District Secretaries Endowment Fund”
  • He is credited for starting CSR Grants in the District and established the platform which is being effectively used by successive leadership.
  • He was instrumental in establishing various medical facilities in various hospitals in Delhi, including two operation theaters, three complete Ophthalmology units, two CT Scan machines, maternity, child care, mobile eye testing vans and several others. 
  • The most significant being the opening of Rotary’s First SKIN BANK  in North India at “All India Institute of Medical Science” New Delhi.
  • Revival & Rejuvenation of water bodies, the prestigious being 700 yrs old Satpula  Lake, New Delhi.
  • Installation of 117 WINS station against target of 100.
  • Execution of 275 Literacy project against target of 100.  
  • More than 15000 students were trained for water conservation. 
His further journey in Rotary continued as under:
He was the Rotary International President Representative (RIPR) to RID 3181 in 2023-24.
Currently he is the Convenor of the Rotary CSR National Committee.
He was the Convenor of the Rotary North Region CSR Awards that took place in Delhi in October, 2025. 
 He is also the Assistant Rotary Membership Coordinator from 2024-2026.
 Ashok is fond of playing golf. Recently he organised the Tejas Rise and Swing Golf Tournament in Delhi in conjunction with RI Institute and managed the fund raising for “END POLIO NOW” of highest ever collection in the history of India in a Golf Tournament of more than USD 2,50,000.
He and his wife Alka are Rotary Foundation Level 2 Major Donor and benefactor.
His wife Alka Kantoor a post graduate in English, is an active support to Ashok in all his endeavors and is a home maker. 
They are blessed with two children. Their daughter, Shveta, is a FCA and a partner in M/s  Ashok Kantoor & Co. She is married to Rajneesh Baid who is also a Chartered Accountant running his own Financial Advisory firm.
Their son Nischay is also a Chartered Accountant and law graduate. He is currently practicing in Direct Tax litigation in Delhi High Court. Nischay is married to Srishti being a graduate from Jesus & Mary College, Delhi University. She is an entrepreneur and is running a multibrand retail business of toys.
