In Rotary, December is the designated month for Disease prevention and treatment. It is one of the most important focus areas amongst the seven.
Health is the basic need of a person and it is his fundamental right. “Health is wealth”
In India access to affordable healthcare facilities for a common people is a real issue. Rotary is committed to this issue. Eradication of the polio from the world is the mammoth task and we have almost achieved that.
Prevention of the disease is equally or more important for a good health. We focus on prevention as well as affordable or free treatment of the diseases.
For Rotary clubs this is a very important Avenue because medical help is one of the most important priority concerns of the society which proves the genuine public image of Rotary. Most of the clubs have doctor members from various specialities who are the good resources. This is the excellent vocational service opportunity to Rotarian doctors and others.
This year we are doing some good project in this Avenue :-
Cherry blossom ЁЯМ╕ Anaemia awareness, prevention and treatment for the school going children . In India unfortunately 50% of the students are anaemic. This project will improve their overall and cognitive health and will help in their educational development.Any Rotary Club can sponsor Rs.9999 only which will cover 300 students. All the clubs please do participate and “ рд▓рдЧрд╛рдУ рдЪреМрдХрд╛рд░”.
