On 11th October 2023 Rotary club of Pune sports city held a MHM awareness programme for over 300 girl students of 9th and 10th standards and their mothers at Dr. Dada Gujar Marathi Medium School in Mohammad Wadi, Pune. Sanitary Napkin Kit containing 2 coloured pads, a waterproof jacket and 3 soft kora cotton inserts and a pouch were given to each girl student free of cost. NGO - Youthaid team explained the concept of reusable cloth pads and their benefits, usage and care for their good health and hygiene, followed by an interactive questions and answers. This project addresses environment, hygiene, earnings for underprivileged women and economical solution for managing period poverty.

Total 300 number of kits were provided at a total cost of about Rs. 1,60,000 at the school. Rotary club of Pune sports city plans to provide 1300 plus such kits to girl students at same school at a cost of Rs. 700,000 in coming 2-3 months along with awareness and knowledge session about menstrual hygiene management.
