On International Women’s Day, Rotary Club of Pune Sports City took a meaningful step towards empowering girl students by providing merit-cum-means scholarships. The club distributed an amount of Rs. 200,000 among deserving girls who needed financial support to continue their studies.

To ensure the scholarships reached those most in need, a team of 4 lady Rotarians and Anns was formed to select the recipients. Among the 14 selected girls was one who is speech and hearing impaired but is determinedly pursuing her master’s in commerce.

The scholarship recipients expressed their ambitions to join various fields, including the Indian Administrative Services, Defense, IT industry, Management, Banking, and others that require higher education. This initiative by Rotary Club of Sports City not only supports these girls in their educational pursuits but also inspires them to dream big and achieve their goals.
