Rotary is Changing ! It is a common say by all Rotary Leaders in every communication. 

DG Santosh really demonstrated that through many initiatives and District Awards Application Process is one of them. 

At the time his installation he declared that " This year the Awards Application will be from District 3131 Website Database. No separate form will be required. " It is a new concept and everyone started asking questions.

There are broadly 3 categories under which District Annual Awards are bestowed.

1. Applied Awards: Overall there are 46 award categories in 3 groups each (46x3=138: potential winners) (membership [up to 30, 31-60, 61+]). The membership as on 1st July 2025 is considered as base. Newly formed Clubs after 1st July 2025 will be considered under “Up to 30” Group. 

The scope of District Awards Committee is restricted to Applied Awards.

1. Number based Awards: Awards are given based on your achievements in TRF, Membership, Star rating, District Website, etc. The numbers are drawn from RI and District Websites by District Secretariat.

1. DG designated awards: District Governor decides the best performing clubs and individuals for the year under various avenues/activities. These are purely DG’s discretion awards.

Accordingly, when DG Santosh called me and explained about my role and responsibility, I was very much excited. 

We were given freedom to form the committee and develop the award application based on website data and modify the same to get necessary information for awards.

Our team worked with Dimakh Consultants team ( District 3131 Website Developer).  Slowly but steadily we were making progress but some challenges were appearing as the data was getting filled. We conducted many trials with our team members, then with few AGs and their Presidents. Today after many experiments, we are hopeful, that we will get the necessary and sufficient information related to projects and the relevant photos too. 

Presently ( May 19 to 30) all the Presidents, IT officers and AGs are attending Online Awards Application Awareness Training. The application link will be available to the Presidents from June 1st to June 21st.

Then from June 22nd onwards the Awards team will start working on the Assessment Process.

The District Awards Ceremony will be on July 25.
