Interact Club of Sunderji Stars Shines Bright at District Rotary Assembly
The Interact Club of Sunderji Stars proudly participated in the District Rotary Assembly Zone 4 held at Rosary School on 28th September. The event was co-hosted by Rotary Club of Poona,
Rotary Club of Poona Downtown, and Rotary Club of Poona Central, under the able convenorship of Rtn. Daljeet Raizada.
The assembly commenced with the National Anthem, followed by the traditional Deep Prajwalan and a mesmerizing welcome dance by a student of Don Bosco on the theme of Durga Puja. The dignitaries were felicitated soon after, with warm greetings extended to Chief Guest Mr. Santosh Mahatre (District Governor) and Guests of Honour Rtn. Tina Ratra and Rtn. Zimbra Israel. Rtn. Tina Ratra enlightened the audience on the role and responsibilities of Interact Clubs, emphasizing how young Interactors contribute meaningfully to society.
Members of the Interact Club of Poona Downtown showcased their remarkable initiative, the Interact Football Fund League (IFFL)—a unique project aimed at raising funds for cervical cancer patients.
The highlight of the day was the Interact Club Recognition Ceremony, celebrating outstanding achievements by Interact Clubs across the district.
1st Position – Interact Club of Sunderji Stars
This vibrant club, coordinated by Dr. Vinamrata Bhatia, comprises 35 neurodiverse Interactors who actively participate in community service and leadership activities. Their recognition as the top-performing club truly reflects their commitment and inclusivity.
2nd Position – St. Arnold Central School
3rd Position – Guru Nanak Public School
Three other clubs also received consolation prizes for their commendable efforts.
Chief Guest Mr. Santosh Mahatre addressed the gathering, highlighting the core objectives of Interact and Rotaract Clubs and motivating students to lead with purpose and compassion.  The audience was further captivated by a powerful Nukkad Natak on Traffic Rules performed by students from Jagriti.
The day also featured insightful and interactive sessions — a Cybercrime Awareness Lecture, and an engaging Art of Storytelling workshop and a hands-on Robotics session for the children.
Meanwhile, Rtn. Aashima Agashe conducted a special session for teachers on Guiding Young Leaders, emphasizing mentorship and character-building.
The event beautifully blended learning, leadership, and inspiration, leaving every participant enriched and motivated. It was truly a day well spent — celebrating youth, inclusivity, and service above self.
