Rotary Club of Bibwewadi Pune Back

The month of August was filled with service and action for the Rotary Club of Bibwewadi Pune, which carried out several impactful initiatives. Among them, three projects stood out for their reach and impact, reflecting the club’s commitment to “Service Above Self.”

Mega Tree Plantation Drive at Taljai Hills: In collaboration with the Sahakarnagar Police Stationand as part of a citywide initiative hosted by Rotary Club of Pune Kharadi, the club planted around 2,250 saplings at Taljai Hills, contributing to the larger goal of 90,000 trees across Pune. The project strengthened community bonds by involving citizens and police teams, while ensuring long-term benefits such as improved air quality, shade, soil conservation, and biodiversity.
Sports Uniform Donation at Zilla Parishad School: Understanding the needs of tribal children studying at a Zilla Parishad School, the club organized a sports uniform distribution drive. Many of these children, coming from families of farm workers, lacked proper attire for school sports. Providing uniforms not only boosted their confidence but also encouraged regular attendance, teamwork, and participation in physical activities, fostering all-round development.
Project "Roots of Change" – Tree Plantation with Interact Club: To nurture environmental responsibility among the youth, the club partnered with the Interact Club of Sun Bright Schoolfor a tree plantation drive. Together, Rotarians and students planted 50+ trees, creating a greener campus and instilling values of sustainability. The involvement of students ensures continued care for the saplings, making the impact long-lasting.

These three initiatives are just a glimpse of the many meaningful projects undertaken by the Rotary Club of Bibwewadi Pune in August. With every effort, the club strives to build stronger communities, empower the underprivileged, and create a more sustainable future.
