In the ever-evolving world of branding and public image, the key to recognition isn’t just in what we do, but in how consistently we communicate it.
This Rotary Year (2024-25), RID 3131 has witnessed a groundbreaking initiative — 'One Idea Each Day'. This unique concept has been conceptualized and spearheaded by Rtn. Rahul Shah, District Secretary - Public Image Avenue, with the able support of Public Image Director Rtn. Prasad Ganpule, Co-Directors Rtn. Pranita Alurkar and Rtn. Sonali Chaubal, Social Media Chair Rtn. Sheetal Arjunadkar, and Zonal Chairs Rtn. Payal Bhandari and Rtn. Chitralekha Mahajan, along with other dedicated team members who have worked tirelessly to spread this wave of ideas across different communities.
For the first time ever in RID 3131, a structured and actionable approach to Public Image enhancement has been introduced by sharing one easy, impactful, and executable Public Image idea daily in a dedicated WhatsApp group comprising Public Image Directors across 145 clubs.
245 Ideas and Counting: A Vision for 365 Days
Since July 1, 2024, more than 245 thought-provoking Public Image ideas have been shared — ideas that are practical, easy to implement, and aligned with Rotary’s core values. These ideas revolve around:
✔ Service Projects – Highlighting Rotary’s contribution beyond execution, ensuring that impact is seen and remembered.
✔ Festivals & Celebrations – Connecting Rotary with cultural moments to enhance engagement and visibility.
✔ NGO Branding & Philanthropy – Guiding clubs on how small acts of gratitude, well-designed postersThe cartilaginous fishes * long press the key to edit stamp - this is just an idea for tough-to-understand terms *, and engaging flyers can elevate Rotary’s presence.
✔ Meeting Innovations – Encouraging clubs to make every meeting a branding opportunity through structured communication and creative formats.
✔ The Power of Storytelling – Campaigning for a narrative-driven approach, showcasing Rotary’s impact through compelling stories.
This initiative aims to achieve 365 unique Public Image ideas by June 30, 2025. But it’s not just about promotion — it’s about embedding Public Image into the DNA of every club in RID 3131.
More Than Ideas: Driving Awareness for Ethical Branding
While generating a fresh idea every day is a challenge in itself, an equally important mission has been undertaken — educating clubs on Rotary’s ethics and protocol. Through continuous collaboration with the Ethical Team, awareness campaigns, and educational efforts, the importance of using the Right Rotary Logo and the Right Rotary Wheel has been deeply ingrained in members’ minds.
A focused story campaign was launched in the WhatsApp group, reinforcing why correct logos, colors, and branding elements matter. It emphasized that incorrect branding weakens Rotary’s credibility, while consistent and proper branding strengthens its global identity.
The creative campaign "लोगों - लोगो को पहेचानो!" (Recognize the Logo) served as a memorable and impactful reminder that Rotary’s brand identity is just as significant as the service it delivers.
A Legacy in the Making
This initiative is more than just an activity — it’s a movement towards making Public Image a way of life in Rotary. By the end of the Rotary Year 2024-25, 365 Public Image ideas will have been shared, creating a goldmine of branding strategies that clubs can refer to and implement for years to come.
This visionary approach is setting a new benchmark in Public Image leadership, proving that consistent branding, ethical representation, and structured visibility efforts can redefine Rotary’s presence in society.
Rotary is about Service Above Self, and through this initiative, RID 3131 is ensuring that this service is seen, recognized, and remembered!
