About RAGFP India Chapter

Launched in March 2024, the Rotary Action Group for Peace (RAGFP) India Chapter is a vibrant extension of the global RAGFP movement, created to localize peacebuilding efforts across India’s diverse cultural, social, and linguistic landscape. The Chapter was founded by Rtn. Smita Vikhankar of Rotary Club of Pune Hillside, RID 3131, who serves as its Founder Chair, bringing together passionate Rotarians and volunteers committed to building peace one step at a time.

In the short span since its launch, RAGFP India has:

  • Initiated over 40 Peacebuilder Clubs across districts
  • Organized youth summits, speaker sessions, peace education workshops, and awareness campaigns
  • Installed Peace Poles, Peace Towers, Benches, and Peace Gardens across India
  • Hosted international speakers from Rotary and beyond to educate, engage, and empower
  • Collaborated with schools, colleges, NGOs, and interfaith leaders for dialogue and action

RAGFP India is not just a chapter—it’s a movement led by passionate Rotarians and volunteers who believe in building peace one step at a time.
