Celebrating Rotarians succeeding in business and service- Rtn Dr Sameer Dolare Back
My Rotary Journey – Growth Through Service

I joined Rotary in 2012, when the organisation was completely new to me. I had never heard of Rotary before, but what began as an introduction soon turned into a deeply transformative journey. Working alongside experienced Rotarians opened my eyes to the vast world of service projects, fellowship, friendship, cultural exchange, sports, and meaningful community engagement.
I have always possessed leadership qualities; however, as a dentist, my leadership was limited to my clinic. Rotary gave me opportunities beyond imagination—across various avenues of service—gradually shaping me into a more confident and capable leader. My involvement at the district level exposed me to a higher standard of management, planning, and execution, far beyond what I had experienced at the club level.
After serving in multiple roles at both club and district levels, I had the privilege of becoming President of my club. Leading a vibrant club was a defining phase of my Rotary journey. It taught me strategic planning, effective execution, team leadership, conflict management, emotional balance during challenges, and wise decision-making—skills that continue to guide me in all aspects of life.
I joined Rotary with no expectation of business, and I firmly believe one should never join Rotary for that purpose. Yet, through consistent service and sincere involvement, trust and recognition followed naturally. Today, nearly 40% of my patient flow comes through Rotary referrals from clubs across the district—a true by-product of service.
Rotary has strengthened my leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities while helping me build lifelong professional and personal connections. Serving as a Special Aide to several Rotary dignitaries has been a privilege and a powerful learning experience.
I am deeply grateful to Rotary and the wonderful Rotarians who continue to inspire me.
“Rotary does not just change communities—it transforms individuals who choose to serve.”
