Project HEAL-A-PAW
On World Animal Day- 4th October 2025, the Rotaract Club of Aundh celebrated compassion in action through Project HEAL-A-PAW, an initiative dedicated to the welfare of stray and injured animals. The club collaborated with Speechless NGO - an organization that tirelessly feeds hundreds of stray dogs, cats, birds and cows every day, while also rescuing, treating and rehabilitating injured animals in need.
The event was designed not just to donate, but to connect. Rotaractors visited the NGO, handed over the collected donations, and spent time with the animals under their care experiencing firsthand the warmth, trust and unconditional love these voiceless beings offer.
As part of the initiative, a fundraiser was organized to support critical needs such as:
Life-saving medical treatments and surgeries.
Nutritious meals for stray animals.
Transportation and rehabilitation of injured animals
This project beautifully aligned with Rotary’s Areas of Focus - Protecting the Environment and Supporting Community Wellbeing by fostering empathy, responsibility and sustainable care for all living beings.
For the Rotaractors, Project HEAL-A-PAW was more than an act of service; it was a heartfelt reminder that compassion transcends species. The sight of rescued animals being cared for, fed and loved reaffirmed the belief that small acts of kindness can create ripples of hope and healing.
Through this initiative, the club reinforced its commitment to building a world where every life - human or animal - is valued, protected and celebrated.
