For RY 2024-25, RCP PHOENIX had decided to carry a Global Grant Project of "PEDIATRIC CARDIAC SURGERY". Phoenix did the same project in previous year i.e. RY 2023-24 with 20 surgeries. This year club had decided to carry out more surgeries, free of cost, for underprivileged children & accordingly, started taking steps for the same. RCP PHOENIX made Appeal to all other clubs to join in this project by their monetory contribution. It can be said to be a magic of Rotary that 13 clubs in District 3131 came forward & contributed for this GG Project. It's very important to note that IPDG Shital Shah gave DDF of $ 8000. Rotary club of East Nassau was the International Partner for this project, who contributed DDF of $ 7500 for the project. With cooperation of International Partner as well as 13 clubs in District 3131, RCP PHOENIX could do the GG PROJECT of 22 surgeries having cost of Rs. 35 Lakhs approximately.
The inauguration ceremony of this project was held on 13th October , 2025 at Shree Satya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital, Kharghar, where all these surgeries are going to be carried out. PDG Dr. Deepak Purohit, IPDG Shital Shah & DRFC Pankaj Shah were guests for this event. Representatives of synergy clubs were also present. PDG Dr. Deepak Purohit appriciated this synergy activity & pointed out that this is the strength of Rotary. Trustee of Shri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital Rtn. Vivek Gaur joined the event online. He shown his feelings towards Rotary for doing this remarkable job. Three operated patients were present in the event alongwith their parents & they extended their thanks to Rotary for saving their lives. PE Shubhangi Mulay gave vote of thanks & a memorable event concluded with assurance to each other to join again in RY 2025-26 for same GG with more surgeries.
