My Journey as Co-Director – GML, Rotary District 3131 for RY2025-26
Serving as Co-Director of GML (Governor’s Monthly Letter) for Rotary District 3131 has been an enriching and memorable journey. It gave me an opportunity to work with multiple dimensions of creativity, communication, and teamwork while connecting with inspiring Rotarians across the district.
My responsibilities included uploading content in Galaxy, Jasmine, Mary Gold, and Cherry Blossom, along with conducting the “Bulletin of the Month” competition. Each segment brought unique experiences and learning opportunities.
Working on Galaxy was truly remarkable. Through this platform, I received invaluable articles and insightful write-ups from experienced Past District Governors of District 3131. Their thoughts, experiences, and perspectives enriched the content immensely and provided learning beyond words.
Through Mary Gold, I had the privilege of discovering inspiring success stories of Rotarians from our district. These stories reflected commitment, leadership, and service, and served as a source of motivation.
My responsibilities for Jasmine were particularly enjoyable because they combined creativity with information. It became a beautiful platform showcasing articles, paintings, drawings, poems, and various creative expressions by Rotarians, their partners, and Annets.
Through Honey Bees, we witnessed the enthusiasm and creativity of our younger generation. Activities, projects, informative content, and innovative ideas from our Interactors and Rotaractors reflected their energy and commitment towards service and leadership.
In Cherry Blossom, we published testimonials from beneficiaries of projects carried out by clubs across District 3131. Reading these heartfelt experiences was deeply satisfying because they reflected the actual impact of Rotary service in society.
One of the most wonderful experiences was conducting the “Bulletin of the Month” competition. Clubs created exceptionally beautiful, innovative, and unique bulletins that highlighted club projects, events, and creative contributions from members, partners, and Annets. The bulletins came in diverse and attractive formats such as audio-video presentations, flipbook formats, and beautifully designed PDFs. The creativity and dedication displayed by clubs was truly impressive.
I express my sincere gratitude to all Presidents, Bulletin Chairpersons, Bulletin Editors, Club Directors, Club Members, their partners, and Annets for contributing and sending such wonderful content for GML.
My heartfelt thanks to GML Director Rtn. Rushikesh Kulkarni for his initiative, continuous guidance, support, and active participation throughout the journey. I also thank all GML team members who worked with dedication and commitment.
Most importantly, I would like to thank DG Santosh Marathe, who gave our team complete freedom to work, while continuously appreciating, encouraging, and motivating us at every stage.
Because of all these collective efforts, GML “HOLLY” truly became “Holly” in the real sense of the word — सदाहरित (Evergreen).
This journey was not merely a responsibility; it was an experience filled with learning, creativity, teamwork, and inspiration that I will always cherish.
