- Hello, my name is Samrat Gaikwad, and I am a student of Class 8 (B) at Samata Vidyalaya, Uruli Devachi.
On behalf of the Rotary Club of Pune Cantonment Charitable Trust, a Type 1 Diabetes screening camp was organized at our school. During this screening, my sugar reading was found to be 315.
Because my sugar level was high, this camp helped identify the exact cause of the health issues I was experiencing. As a result, my parents and I received the right information in time, which proved to be very beneficial. Currently, my treatment for Type 1 Diabetes is going on properly. I am now learning how and when to take insulin, how to keep my sugar levels under control, and what necessary precautions to follow.
This initiative has given the right direction to my health, and for that, I sincerely express my heartfelt gratitude to the Rotary Club of Pune Cantonment Charitable Trust. 🙏
- The staff and students of Smt. Kalawati Dattatraya Kotwal Secondary School, Hadapsar, Pune, sincerely appreciate the Rotary Club of Pune Cantonment Charitable Trust and Dr. Rajshree Kakde with her team for conducting a Type 1 Diabetes screening camp for our 310 students from economically underprivileged backgrounds.
The screening was carried out with great care and professionalism, leading to the early detection of high blood sugar levels and the timely diagnosis of Type 1 Diabetes in a student.
Parents were counselled sensitively, treatment was initiated immediately, and a valuable diabetes awareness session was conducted for students and parents.
This initiative created meaningful health awareness and had a lasting positive impact on our school community. The dedication and compassion shown by the team are truly commendable.
