Dear Fellow Rotarians,
Warm greetings to each one of you!
As we step into the month of April, we also enter the final quarter of this Rotary year—a time for reflection, fulfillment, and finishing strong. The journey so far has been nothing short of inspiring. Across our district, we have seen countless acts of service that truly embody our motto, Service Above Self.
April reminds us that while much has been achieved, there is still much we can accomplish together. This is the time to review our goals, accelerate our efforts, and ensure that every commitment we made at the beginning of the year is brought to meaningful completion.
One of the most impactful examples of our collective service this year has been our initiative for HPV vaccination of 14-year-old school girls. This noble effort, carried out in collaboration with schools, healthcare professionals, and partner organizations, reflects Rotary’s deep commitment to preventive healthcare and the well-being of future generations. By protecting young girls against cervical cancer, we are not just administering vaccines—we are giving the gift of a healthier, safer future. I sincerely appreciate all clubs, Rotarians, and volunteers who have come together to make this initiative a success. This is the true power of Rotary—when we unite, we create lasting change.
On March 14 and 15, we had an important two-day conference on “Circular Economy”, organized by our Environment Avenue team. The conference featured many learned and distinguished speakers who shared valuable insights on sustainable practices and responsible resource management. It was heartening to see such enthusiastic participation, and the event concluded with several positive takeaways that will guide our future environmental initiatives.
I urge all clubs to focus on:
- Completing ongoing service projects with impact and sustainability
- Strengthening membership engagement and retention
- Enhancing contributions to The Rotary Foundation through the Annual Fund, Endowment Fund, and PolioPlus
- Documenting and celebrating the wonderful work your clubs have done
Let us also remember that Rotary is not just about service, but about fellowship and leadership. The bonds we build and the inspiration we share are what make this journey truly special.
As leaders, you have the opportunity to leave a legacy—not just in terms of numbers, but in terms of lives touched and communities transformed.
Let us move forward with renewed energy, ensuring that District 3131 continues to shine as a beacon of hope, compassion, and action.
