September 2025 showcased the Rotary Club of Pune Baner’s commitment to community service, youth development, health awareness, and cultural engagement. From installations of Interact and Rotaract clubs to impactful health camps, educational sessions, and festive celebrations, the club successfully combined fellowship with meaningful action, leaving a positive impact on Pune’s communities.
The month began on a festive note with Ganesh Darshan and delicious fellowship at Karrias Residence, coupled with a meeting with the District Governor and the installation of new members. The club co-hosted the Galloping Thunderbolts, a unique Rotary Fellowship event at the racecourse, strengthening ties with other clubs in the district.
This next week focused on appreciation and vocational learning. The club celebrated Teachers’ Day at University School, felicitating the teachers and presenting mementos to the Junior and High School Principals. On 13th September, members attended the Solar Energy Event in Bhor and also conducted the Rotaract Club Baner installation at BKS. The week concluded with a vocational visit to the Govind Milk Factory in Phaltan, providing members with practical insights into business and operations, along with warm camaraderie.
Youth engagement and skill-building took center stage in the third week. The Interact Club of Baner were installed at NCL, and another Interact Club installation was held at University School accompanied by a motivating finance session by Rtn Sapna Agrawal. The club also conducted a Financial Literacy session and distributed the Ideal Study App to 80 students. Members gathered for the Speaker meeting at BKS, featuring an engaging session titled “Making Sense Out of Our Nonsense” by Rtn Dr Jignesh Pandya, followed by a Gujarati/Bengali themed cuisine evening, blending learning with cultural enjoyment.
The final week highlighted health awareness and community engagement. Two cervical cancer screening camps were organized in collaboration with Prayas—one at Bhau Patil Vasti, Aundh Road, and another for lady teachers of CB Tupe Sadhana Kanya Vidyalaya in Hadapsar. These highly successful camps were ably supported by Mr. Pradeep Nadkar, Dr. Roopali Benade, and Mr. Vilas Shete. A synergy meeting at BKS featured Dr Jagdish Hiremath demonstrating CPR and cardiac emergency response, emphasizing preventive health. The month concluded with a colorful Synergy Dandiya at Bavdhan Elite, bringing together members and the community in festive celebration. Rtn Shilpa Sheth, who was in charge of fellowship for the month, ensured the food was authentic and delicious for both the Gujarati/Bengali themed cuisine evening and the dandiya night.
Overall, it was an action-packed and vibrant month for the Rotary Club of Pune Baner, full of fellowship, learning, community service, and cultural celebration.
