The artificial modular limb Donation
The artificial modular limb donation project by the Rotary Club of Pune Heritage, in partnership with Bharat Vikas Parishad, is indeed a phenomenal example of service to humanity. Benefiting approximately 1,200 individuals at the Dhole Patil College campus in Kharadi, this initiative stands as a beacon of hope and empowerment for physically disabled individuals.
The event's potential entry into the Guinness Book of World Records speaks volumes about the scale and impact of the project. The meticulous planning, beginning with
Step 1: Advertising and registering beneficiaries, followed by
Step 2: Measurement of limbs, showcases the attention to detail in ensuring the success of the program.
The presence of RSS Chief, Mr. Mohan Bhagwat, as the chief guest during the measurement phase added further significance and visibility to the occasion.
This initiative was made possible by Rotary Club of Pune Heritage with synergy partner Rotary Club of Pune Kharadi and other donors, alongside the leadership of key figures like Past Presidents Rtn. Vinayak Pethe and Rtn. Vinay Nevase, President Rtn. Vaze, and President-Elect Rtn. Shubro Sen.
The profound impact of this initiative lies in witnessing the joy of beneficiaries taking their first steps with their new limbs—a testament to the spirit of “Nar Seva, Narayan Seva” (Service to man is service to God). This project not only transforms lives but also exemplifies the core values of the Rotary, demonstrating its unwavering commitment to community service.
