Eye Surgeries Project. 

Eleven Members of Rotary Club of Poona attended a two-hour programme pertaining to the project on Thursday, 17th July at the H.V. Desai Hospital where 150 Cataract and 10 Glaucoma surgeries will be executed for the donated sum of Rs. 4.25 lakhs. The Community Service Avenue had taken initiative to restore the eyesight of numerous villagers from the adjoining villagers. Few surgeries have been completed while others are scheduled sometime soon. 

Our members were also treated to a detailed audio- visual Presentation by Rtn PP Parvez Billimoria, the Executive Director of the Hospital and Dr. Deshpande, the Medical Director and were thereafter personally taken around the various Sections of the Hospital by Mr. Billimoria. It thus turned out to be a rewarding experience on several counts.
